How to update MODS on your server Print

This guide will help you on how to update mods on your server.

You can update mods on your server using different methods, below you will find instructions that cover most of the different methods available from the easiest one to the most hard one, choose the one you prefer.

Updated Mods using the Workshop Mod Manager Method (Easy)

1. Stop server
2. Press the Workshop Mod Manager button, select the Update Mods task and select the ModID on the Server ModID field, accept the confirmation and press Execute
3. Start server

Updated Mods using ARK Mod Updater Method (Easy)

1. Stop server
2. Press ARK Mod Updater button on your control panel, accept the confirmation and press Execute
3. Start server

Updated Mods using ARK Remote Method (Medium)

1. Connect to your server ARK Remote following this guide
2. Search the mod you want on ARK Remote Mods section, press the Add button, then open it and press the Install button
3. Restart Server

Updated Mods using FTP Method (Hard)

1. Stop server
2. Connect to your server FTP using this guide
3. Go to your folder Contents/Mods and delete the folder and the .mod file of the mod you want to update
4. Go to your ARK installation folder in your computer, open the Contents/Mods/ folder and upload the new mod folder and .mod file to same folder on your server Contents/Mods
5. Start server

Always do a backup of your server before updating any mod in case you want to revert back to your previous world, also always do regular backups of your server in case any future update of ARK or update of the mod or update of any mod causes issues on your world and you need to revert it back.
